Although I've just completed a stash project and thus am allowed to start a new project, I have been working on another stash project. It's a zone-front anglaise for which I'm using the (orangy-browny) burgundy embroidered taffeta. First I was thinking of making a gold coloured petticoat to go with it. Final pictures from our recent holiday. I wore my peacock gown to Schloss Linderhof. This time I did do my hair properly, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. It was raining really hard. As usual I took a lot of gowns with me on our holiday. Unfortunately we didn't visit all the places I wanted to wear them too, mostly due to the weather (hot as hell or thunderstorm). I have 2 major projects: my "black gowns project" and my "blue gowns project". So what do I do? Right, I'm making a pink gown. Does it makes sence to you? No, to me neither. I had 15 yards of blue/green peacock taffeta in my stash which is really wanted to use. My original plan was to make a robe a la francaise. But since they are more "difficult"to wear (it's just no always that easy to wear panniers when visiting a castle for pictures), I decided to make robe a l'anglaise instead. I've been working on my black silk taffeta francaise the last few weeks and wanted to make a matching tricorn. But because I have never made a hat before and time is pressing (WGT starts may 21st), I decided not to try and make one myself.
